Erin Gill

Head Coach

Erin Gill is a former D3 goalie with over 10 years of coaching experience. She leverages her combination of collegiate playing experience and proven coaching expertise to develop lacrosse players at every level. Her training programs are a product of her experience as a former Head Coach and Academy Coach at Building Blocks Lacrosse and are designed to elevate both individual skills and team performance.

Erin's coaching philosophy focuses on developing the complete player, combining technical skills with mental toughness, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Her finance background brings analytical precision to training, while her student-athlete experience ensures she understands the full athletic journey.

Board of Directors

David Rems
President

David Rems is a hospitality leader with over 25 years of experience, currently serving as Senior Regional General Manager at Stonebriar Country Club. Beyond his professional role, David is deeply involved in his community. He is Board President of the Prosper Girls Lacrosse Club and serves on the Board of the Invited Foundation, supporting youth development, education, and health initiatives. David lives in Prosper, Texas, with his wife, Cara, and their two children, Lexie and Boston. Daughter Lexie is an incoming senior and a four-year captain of Prosper Girls Lacrosse.

Bret Swanson
Vice President

Bret has been a proud member of the Prosper ISD community since moving to the area with his wife Lisa and their daughter Annabel in 2016. A dedicated volunteer, Bret coached at the youth lacrosse level for four years before volunteering in various capacities for the Prosper Girls Lacrosse Club in 2024 and joining their Board of Directors in 2025. He also serves as Treasurer for the Rock Hill Cross Country Booster Club, works professionally in IT for USAA, and is an Air Force veteran. Daughter Annabel is in the 2027 graduating class and is a Prosper team captain.

Christy VanDerwerken
Secretary

Christy moved to Prosper with her husband and four daughters in 2023. She started playing lacrosse as a child in 1995, continued through high school and college and continues to play today on the Dallas Women’s Lacrosse League. Christy understands the importance of being involved in the community as and participes in various service organizations including Girl Scouts of America, PTO, and coaching various sports. She brings over ten years of lacrosse coaching experience and a passion for empowering young women to Prosper Girls Lacrosse.

Marc Dondero
Treasurer

Marc has been in the DFW area since 2006 and Prosper ISD area since 2016 with his wife Jackie and their 3 children. As dedicated volunteer, Marc has coached at the youth level for over a decade in basketball, soccer, flag football, and football and joined the Prosper Girls Lacrosse Club Board of Directors in 2025. Marc works professionally as a Sr. Technology Consultant for MSB Consulting Engineers and owns small business as well. Daughter Sophia is in the 2028 graduating class and has been a part of Prosper lacrosse since her 1st grade year. Marc is driven to create a sustainable program and grow Prosper Girls Lacrosse to new levels through continuous development of sportsmanship, teamwork, and achievement.

Ashlyn Nelson
At-Large

Ashlyn is a Licensed Professional Counselor and former educator with over 20 years of experience dedicated to supporting students, families, and athletes. Since 2011, she and her husband Ryan have called Prosper home, raising daughters Raimie, now a proud Arkansas Razorback, and Alyssa, a current Prosper Girls Lacrosse player. Ashlyn is passionate about creating positive experiences that build sportsmanship, perseverance, leadership, and self-worth. She believes a supportive atmosphere helps athletes push beyond comfort zones, fostering growth on and off the field.

The Prosper Girls Lacrosse Club is committed to ensuring equal representation from Prosper High School, Rock Hill High School, and Walnut Grove High School.

We strive to maintain a well-balanced team of individuals dedicated to managing and representing the program across all age levels.

All members of the board serve on a voluntary basis and receive no financial compensation for their contributions.
